Robert Leon Hamilton was born on July 15, 1949 to
Bertie Lee Dawkins and Aaron Hamilton in Los Angeles, California.
He was born at the County General Hospital,
and was the third child out of five to Bertie and Aaron Hamilton.
Robert grew up in Los Angeles, California, he attended
20th St. School (Elementary), Carver Junior High School and Jefferson High School.

In 1964, Robert met Gloria Kane,
They were both 14 years old and soon they fell in love
and eventually married in 1967.
He was a hard worker, what ever job he took on, he mastered it.
His last job was with the Los Angeles County
where he worked as a Custodian and eventually an Elevator Operator,
transporting patients from the jail to the hospital.
Robert worked for the County for 27 years and provided well for his wife and children.
His favorite past time was biking, jogging, spending time at the beach or the park with his family.
He loved his family so much, especially his grand children and great grand children.
