Norma Banea Valeroso, 75 years old, passed from life into eternal life on January 15, 2020 in her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Norma was born on May 10, 1944 in Taal, Batangas Philippines to parents Reynaldo and Lydia Banea.
Norma married Rolando Valeroso on October 26, 1968 and he survives. They were happily married for 51 years. They lived in Chicago for 46 years and moved to Las Vegas in 2013.
Norma was a loving mother of two children Tracilla Valeroso Miranda with husband Paul Miranda and step-son Riley Miranda, and Renesito Valeroso with wife Aimee Valeroso and children Tyler Jordan, Ashton, and Carson.
Norma enjoyed cooking and especially loved to bake cakes and Filipino desserts. She was a devote Christian and loved going to church and spending time with her prayer groups. Norma loved to spend time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. In 1995- 1996, Norma was the first lady of the Philippine Engineers and Scientists Organization where she also was the chairperson of the auxiliary committee.
Norma was the oldest of 9 siblings and is survived by Ann Valeroso, Josie De la Cuz, Ramon Banea, Lilia Santiago, Carmela Banea, Efren Banea, Ariel Banea, and Maricar Casey.
A memorial service will be given for Norma at St. Timothy Church 6326 N Washtenaw Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
