Joseph Michael Mastruzzo,
71 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
He was born in Chicago, IL on November 1, 1948 to parents
Joseph and Lucille Mastruzzo of Franklin Park,
IL and lived in Westchester, IL until
moving to Las Vegas in 2012.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Neoma whom he married in 1999 in
Westchester, IL, his son Nicolas Mastruzzo, and
his granddaughter Courtney Gambill.
Joseph was an active member of the Masonic Order in Illinois as well as here
in Las Vegas at Vegas Lodge 32, and King Solomom #58 in Henderson. He
also belonged to the Zelzah Shiners and Knights of St. Andrew here in Las
Vegas. He was known for spearheading the Teddy Bear Program in which he
and his Masonic brothers collected money to purchase teddy bears to give to
children who were affected by catastrophe events in their young lives.
Joseph was a professional photographer which he enjoyed since he was a
young man. He worked for the Department of Corrections in Illinois for 20
years before retiring as a Lieutenant. He also had a great love of cars and
doing maintenance on them with his friends and family. Joseph enjoyed
holidays throughout the year where he would host a party with his family and
friends always making sure everyone was having an enjoyable visit.
He will be missed by many near and far.
