Gary Irwin Brown

Gary I. Brown, 69, passed away at St. Rose Hospital, San Martin Campus on October 9, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV. Gary was born in Ithaca, NY to Edward H.C. Brown, Jr. and Grace Brown (Werner) on February 9, 1955.

Gary attended Rancho High School (Las Vegas, NV) and went on to attend University of Nevada Las Vegas. His lifelong passion of repairing vehicles became his profession. He started working at Warthen Buick, then moved around to many other dealerships (Las Vegas, Idaho, Washington, and California) working in service and sales. Gary became a master mechanic (ASE Certified) and owned multiple businesses throughout his life. Gary was a member of the Vegas Vintage Car Club, Optimists Club, and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed anything to do with vehicles: driving, repairing, showing, inventing, and especially racing.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Grace.

Gary is survived by his son, Jason (Robin), brother, Edward (K.C.), sister, Jennifer; grandchildren, Coley and Audrey; and many nieces and nephews.

A remembrance will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Timbers, 2625 St. Rose Pkwy., Henderson, NV, 89052. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
