His life of 55 years came to an end on Friday February 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by the love of his family and close friends.
Douglas Campbell born April 21, 1966 to Leon and Helen (Lowe) Campbell of Oxnard, California. Doug
graduated from Tracey Joint Union High School in 1984, immediately following he enlisted in the United
States Army military police where his passion for country and law enforcement began. Following his
enlistment, he became a police officer for the Oakland California Police Department, March 1990-March
2005. He obtained his Bachelor of the Arts in Management from St. Marys’ College of California after
leaving the Oakland police department. Doug worked for AVON Protection Systems as their district sales
manager for the Western region and co-owned SRT special security services a Las Vegas based security
firm.
Doug had a profound love for country and law enforcement, he obtained thousands of hours of training,
holding multiple certifications ranging from firearm safety to counter terrorism law enforcement
response. He held many instructorships in firearms and was a Precision Marksman II.
He dedicated his life to making a difference; this was his true passion and lived each day doing what he
loved most. He was immensely proud of his son Christian who follows in his footsteps in law
enforcement.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Leon and Helen (Lowe) Campbell.
He is survived by his loving wife Laura (Locchetta) Campbell of North Las Vegas, his son Christian
Campbell of Pittsburg, California and a brother Michael Campbell of South Carolina.
Doug will be deeply missed by his family and friends. All of our lives are richer for having the honor of
knowing him.
Doug has chosen to be cremated. A private celebration of his life will be held for his family and close
friends.
