Born in the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota on February 13, 1925, died on November 1, 2019.
Upon graduating from High school in 1942, he was inducted into the U.S. Army Infantry.
Trained with the 42nd Rainbow Division and was then assigned to the 79th Infantry Division and the invasion forces of France.
He was wounded twice, received two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star for Valor as well as the European Theater Medal.
With 5 Battle Stars for major engagement with the German Army in France, Alsace, Lorraine, Southern France, Central Europe, and Northern Europe; He was seriously wounded crossing the Rhine River, one of the major European Rivers.
He worked for Braniff Airlines for 32 years. His last assignment was District Sales Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a member of the Las Vegas Rotary Club, served on the Winchester Town Board for 4 years and served as a member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Board for years and was Chairman of the Aviation Committee at the Chamber.
He was a member of Masonic Daylight Lodge, Zelzah Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite 320 Degree, and member of the Royal Order of Jester and life time member of the Disabled American Veterans. His last employment was working for the State of Nevada as the Administrator of Unclaimed Property for the State from which he retired after 10 years.
He is predeceased by his wife Romayne, and survived daughter Laura and two grandchildren. Cremation and Funeral services will be private.
