Anthony “Tony” Lewis Santos passed away surrounded by his family at home
in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 1, 2022, at the age of 69.
Tony Santos was born April 29, 1953, to Christine and Edmond Santos of
Sacramento, CA. After graduating from McClatchy High School, he enlisted
and proudly served his country in the USAF during the Vietnam War.
In 1978, Tony was station to Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, where after completing 6 years
active duty, he went on to have a distinguished 30-year career at the Nevada
Department of Transportation.
Tony was a lover of classic cars, drag racing motorsports and was known in the
family for his skills with a fishing pole. He loved caring for stray cats and dogs,
and often took them home to live out the remainder of their lives fat and
happy. He was a caring and generous man who never sought recognition for
his kindnesses.
Tony is survived by his two daughters Tonya and Christin, three beautiful
grandchildren (Sean, Isabella, and Alexander), three of his four siblings;
Victoria, Timothy and Stacey, and a wide circle of family and friends.
